Clark County Preschool
Learning Happens Through Play
We believe play is the work of childhood. Through play, children develop problem-solving skills, learn to collaborate, build language, and make sense of the world around them. Our educators guide and extend play experiences, turning everyday moments into opportunities for growth. This isn’t recess. It’s how young children learn best.
Clark County After-School Programs
We have before and after-school options for our Bobcats. These extended hours give working families the flexibility they need while giving children more time to play, rest, and connect with friends in a familiar setting.
Hours: 6:30–7:30 AM & 2:30 PM–Close
FAQs
-
Country Friends uses a play-based, emergent curriculum. Our educators observe children's interests and developmental needs, then design experiences that extend learning in meaningful ways. We draw from research-backed early childhood practices rather than a rigid, scripted curriculum.
-
Each day is organized around a consistent rhythm that helps children feel secure while allowing flexibility. Children move between self-chosen play, guided experiences with teachers, outdoor exploration, meals and snacks, and rest as needed. Learning unfolds through play, relationships, and everyday routines, with teachers adapting the day in response to children’s energy, interests, and developmental needs.
-
Yes. Outdoor time is a priority at Country Friends. Children go outside daily, weather permitting or we say: rain or shine, to play, explore, and connect with nature.
-
Learning centers are set up throughout our classrooms: art, blocks, dramatic play, sensory, literacy, and more. Children rotate through centers with guidance from teachers, who facilitate play and introduce new concepts based on each child's interests and readiness.
-
Our campus includes age-appropriate classrooms, a garden, open play areas, and natural exploration spaces.
